You could make a reasonable argument that the 7th generation of console wars was largely decided by the decisions made at last year's E3. I'd say E3's have generally been overrated - seemed to me that Nintendo was declared the "winner" at a majority of these shows, but it never seemed to help much. Until last year. Likely because it was coupled with Sony demonstrating how to stick one's head up one's ass.
