Judging by what has been said about GOW in interviews, it seems like it'll be more in depth than ever.
Kratos and his Son will both have their own skill trees, there will be a merchant you can purchase weapons from and upgrade them as well. There will be more exploration with more open areas. Cory said he wants to give the player more freedom in how they want to play the game as opposed to all the previous GOW games where you just go down one path killing everything in your path till you get to the next cutscene.
I'm sorry TC but you're looking like a troll and nothing more making a mountain out of a molehill. You're taking one quote from one guy who has no decision making power when it comes to these studios and predicting the future of all Sony studios even though these same studios swear up and down that Sony let's them do whatever they want. Heck Shannon (Head of Santa Monica) said that exact thing during their E3 coliseum event.
