And now the livestream from yesterday in Japan is already over a million. The reception so far has been pretty positive and it's getting plenty of attention.

It sure is getting a lot of unexpected attention outside Japan. 6.6m (now 6.9m) views is a massive number for one youtube video. It seems to be doing well in Japan too but no one is surprised by this.

That 6.9m seems a bit high and suddenly out of nowhere.  Could they be paying for the video to be advertised thus boosting it's views?
