So... ehm... who buys three Xbox One consoles? Try to compare a $499 PC from 2013 to the Xbox One and see which one will play those AAA games in 2018 decently...
The Xbox One X is more powerful than 90% of the PCs using Steam for $499. How would a PC be a better investment? |
The same people who bought an OG Xbox One, then an Xbox One S, and are now going for the Xbox One X? These are the same people that likely invested in an Elite controller as well. You're telling me these people don't exist? The Xbox whale is a thing. And I don't know the capabilites of the PCs using Steam, we keep getting arbitrary numbers quoted from random console warriors from faulty sources. I mean, for a factual statement, there are PC rigs that are 100 percent better than all the Xboxes and PS4s if you want to start throwing percentages out there.
I'm saying, that money spent is better future proofing with PC than buying the whole line of Xbox Ones over four years. And you could have had the REAL 4K experience Phil Spencer touted about if you had the display, not checkboarded. Xbox One X will be decent, but $500 dollars decent. But, that's not a knock against people that want the console though. If you want something better than the console you have now that plays the same games, then it's fine to have the option. I just say it's funny hearing from people that invested in all iterations of those consoles complain that PC is expensive when they're willing to shell out $400-$500 bucks for boxes with only incremental upgrades.
