This is either poor reporting or poor writing. His title is Global Head, Marketing & Sales. This article makes it sound like he's the boss of Sony Interactive Entertainment. The source this cherry-picked from had it right.
Regardless, we know what he's saying. Sony had a bunch of stuff they announced or talked about elsewhere because they didn't want to go over an hour. They have their priorities just like any other business. Unfortunate but true.
