PC only, used to have a Ps3 and a 3DS but I sold both since I completed almost every game I had, and 3DS got boring for me after a while... Not that I didn't like the titles but the simplicity of some portable games was very critical for me in terms of enjoying it more. (MH and ALBW took more hours of my days that i'd like to admit.)

And I say that again as a Nintendo fan. I don't like misleading people or suggesting things to them that I know are not right for them when I know that person really needs to make the most of their gaming budget. It's a dick thing to do. When I worked retail at a game store years ago, even though I would speak well of Nintendo, I never tried to force people to buy Nintendo stuff when I knew they really would be better off with something else. I hate people at stores like Gamestop that try to push their personal preference on the shopper and act like corporate shills rather than looking after the consumer and making sure they get the best product for their personal needs. |
That's what I was refering with "From a true gamer point of view" I don't like fanboys that mislead people to buy their consoles, a true gamer won't be tricking people into one fanbase or another, I like opinions to be objetive and to be realistic.
I grew up with Nintendo, even if the Gamecube never had that many games I still own mine and play Sunshine, Melee, Metroid Prime and Windwaker from time to time, I really don't like to bother people in forums but this is the first time i'm really interested in a Nintendo console since GC and It's hard for me to decide. Thanks a lot for your words man, I really respect people like you.

Arms is a fantastic fighting game despite not being traditional, but it's really only enjoyable with an internet connection as it's 90% online. That being said when it comes to finical point of view definitely the PS4. For one PS4 games go down in price pretty fast, Switch titles won't be. Nintendo keeps their software prices high for as long as they sell. You will have more games on PS4, more selection, and a fantastic library of must play story based games. If your a hardcore gamer who wants to play a lot of games then get the PS4. You'll be able to buy 2-3 older games for the price of one Switch title. The PS+ titles are getting better and often have interesting little nicks to try out here and there. Though if portability is a huge factor then the Switch is still a good option. Breath of the Wild easily has 150+ hours worth of content but you might find yourself struggling to buy more games over all. |
I have been fighting with myself to not watching anything related to BOTW since I want to complete that game one way or another, even If I have to steal a Wii U or something (lol). Arms seems to be a bunch of fun, really... I thought it was going to be sooo boring at first but the more I see Ranked matches the more I get into how deep it can be, still... Not as deep as a Traditional fighting game.

Nope, I won't be able to buy any games from JP or EU. I would be able since I have plenty of friends that live in the US, even my GF sister can help me with that.
Thanks for the interest, this forum is pretty fast!

I don't know the prices for stuff over there, but PS4 may be the smarter choice for now. In several months (so beginning of 2018), the Switch will finally be a console that's must have. It'll have legit sports games and 9 exclusives by the end of this year. As for fighters, chances are they don't want Xenoverse 2 to be ignored. Wouldn't be surprised of Fighterz gets announced for Switch |
I will leave that to luck, I can ask my GF's sister to lend me some money if she ever gets to see one, buy it for me and once she does I can transfer the money via paypal to her account.
Venezuela is a mess RN, there are no games in here... I will have to buy games online or send them from the US.

I was hoping to have 2 - 3 people answering my post but thanks a bunch for commenting guys.
Just to add something I would like to say that I'm asking for help because since the Videogame Market is basically dead here in my country I don't get to experience how good something is like most of you.
I'm a Nintendo Fan, I respect the old Nintendo for what it means to the industry... I think that Sony is doing much better now but I see people just shitting on the old Ninty just because they think one console should dominate the market.
Lately I've been feeling that most games just focus on being soo serious way to much... Trying so hard to copy each other, that's why when it comes to Ps4 I just can't decide, It has a bunch of games that's true but for me personally a bunch of them lack personality... Bloodborne, Persona 5, 2D Fighting games are games that really stand out to me, they are not your tipical sandbox, story driven game... They take something cool and turn it into something even cooler. But the Ps4 doesn't get too much of that even if it has a big library. Great console but I fear i might get too bored of their first party games.
