I think the reason I'm giving it so much thought is that I love Nintendo games but I love fighting games as much, been a KoF / SF / Blazblue player since a long time really made me fall in love with the gender. I wasn't really having any doubt to buy a Switch until I saw the E3 and there's no traditional fighting game coming to Switch... Arms looks fun and we sure get a new Smash announced next year but no new traditional fighting game (Blazblue Centralfiction is a port of a 2015 game.) I was hoping for at least DB FighterZ to come to the Switch as well as Ps4 XBONE, but that dind't happen.

I agree with this.
Does Nintendo games excite you the most? Would the portability give you a lot of use over a PS4? Are you ok with the questionable 3rd party support for the Switch? If money is an issue games tend to get cheaper overtime on other platforms where Nintendo games tend to hold their value. Is that a potential issue for you. |
Portability is a big point since I'm always going from place to place but I do have free time to sit down everyday and play at home.
I'm the biggest fan of Zelda I know and Metroid is my 3rd favorite franchize (Persona being the 2nd)
I'm not that Ok with lack of 3rd party since I see a bunch of cool first party games but none of them are traditional fighters.
Money is not an issue, I can save monthly to buy a 60$ game, even 2.
