Gaming - Summer of JRPGs! - View Post

I'm the king when it comes to losing interest in a game (for no fault of the game at all) and moving onto the next one. The problem is, I love JRPGs, so most of the games I play are epic, 80+ hour adventures that I meticulously search every corner of the world until I get to a point where a new game piques my interest.

It doesn't help that I always decide to restart a game from the beginning if I go too long without playing it.

At the moment, games that I am currently playing, or at least am considering still finishing:

Bravely Default: 120 hours in, just got to the chapter where things get repetitive (no spoilers)
Dragon Quest VII: 80 hours in, maybe halfway through the main quest
Nioh: 80 hours in, maybe 70% through
Ni No Kuni: 30 hours in, maybe 20% through
FFVI: 20 hours in, opera was the last thing I remember doing
Persona V: 50+ hours in, maybe 2 months into the calendar
Horizon: 25 hours in
Skyrim: Have never actually beat this game, but probably have put 500+ hours in, currently playing a file with close to 200 hours, halfway through main story
FFXIV: About halfway through Heavensward, with about 48 days of playtime on my Mi'qote
Dragon Quest Heroes: 1/3rd through, 15 hours
Pokemon Moon: Second island, 40 hours
RE7: 10 hours, way too scary for me, but I still kinda like it and may go back to it

Beat:

Breath of the Wild: Just over 100 shrines, 120-ish hours
FFXV: Platinum
DeS, DK1, DK2, DK3, BB marathon (over the course of about six months)
Nier: Beat first playthrough, traded in for Horizon about halfway through second playthrough (as 9S)
Yo-kai Watch 2: Maybe 40 hours

I guarantee I'm missing a ton of games, and I'm not mentioning a lot as well. Also I didn't limit my list to JRPGs.

Also, I recently picked up Rocket League on Steam and am really enjoying it.
