This is the main reason I'm slowly drifting away from PlayStation. Sony's focus on character, emotion, and storytelling is at an all-time high and my investment at an all-time low.

I'm glad there are folks out there whose needs are being met by Sony's current design philosophy. Diversity in the industry is a great thing, and not every platform needs to offer the same kinds of gaming experiences.

But, selfishly, I wish PlayStation would retreat from its cinematic ambitions.

Your list of games shown in your signature sorta shows the opposite of what you are trying convey.

I applaud PlayStations wide array of games. Having a great Single Player selection is fantastic and can be played by everyone regardless of being connected by internet or not.

If you can't play alone, the only thing you're good at is being lonely.

I'm not sure what's in there -- I've since blocked signatures in the forum -- but I'm always willing to give games a try. I recently used the EA Access free trial period to try Unravel, which, unfortunately, falls into the trap I described above.
