I doubt they would've gotten more if they ordered earlier. Chips are a giant business and contracts are huge and have to be made far in advance. Nintendo is probably not a high priority customer as Apple. Fabs are already at their limits and they can't just shift resources as they please. |
Thats my point, they should have had contracts with much bigger number of units.
Gambled on their device doing well, it would have paid off big for them now.
Instead they kinda stuck their toes in the water to test sales.
Now they have to rework contracts... only to find out apple and the likes are takeing most of the production of said units they need.
Its effecting how many Switch Nintendo can make and sell.
