Nerds saying they rather have 1080p60fps instead of 4K are a tiny minority but appear to be a yuuge crowd on forums(a tiny part of install base), but even here the graphics vs framerate crowd is about equal.

I do think 60fps is going to be more common next gen due to Ryzen but it's never gonna be a standard and hasn't been for the last 23 years.

Why are people like me specifically called nerds for being content with 1080p 60fps+?.

I also don't see them being a tiny monority either, I only have 1 friend out of many that has a 4k tv setup, while the rest are still rocking their 1080p tv's.
