Majority of the people aren't even informed enough to know about fps. Majority of the people don't go on game forums or reddit, they dont care about fps or checkerboarding. So long as the pictures move and you can interact with it, and the box says 4K, they're sold.

Nerds saying they rather have 1080p60fps instead of 4K are a tiny minority but appear to be a yuuge crowd on forums(a tiny part of install base), but even here the graphics vs framerate crowd is about equal.

I do think 60fps is going to be more common next gen due to Ryzen but it's never gonna be a standard and hasn't been for the last 23 years.
