Papa Phil become the XBoss in 2014, shortly before E3 IIRC, so we can throw out pretty much every game on your list except Sea of Thieves. Then you have to ask, did they maybe believe SoT would be out sooner than it ended up taking? Was it maybe a ReCore situation where they had small intentions but then amped development and investment up?
Also, someone adapting and changing strategies does not make them a hypocrite. Now, if after saying this, he then goes on stage at some conference and is still announcing games 3 years off, ok, then that is a hypocrite. Lastly, you have E3 2017, where by the end of spring of 2018, every single title they showcased should be out, barring delays. So you have all of that, versus one Rareware game. I think I'll go with E3 2017, thanks.
