It's almost as laughable as their reasoning for blocking EA Access. Sadly in both cases you have people arguing about Sonys decisions were good for them LOL.

Laughable, or rather sad, is the fact that the community is supporting unethical business practices and the corrosive route companies as Electronic Arts and Microsoft are taking.

lol, what "corrosive" routes are EA or MS taking? Is this another one of these doomsday tin foil hat theories we saw when EA Access launched about how it would lead to Activion Access and Ubi Access and blah blah? Seems none of that happened. Seems the only other thing that spawned was Origin Access, EA's own service just extended to PC. So now another platform gets to experience the great service while PS4 owners are still waiting for Sony to get their act together.

Content control is imperative, and when a platform holder doesn't care about content and progress... see exihibit A: Steam. Or an event that happened long long time ago, that proves how important limitations are.

Cool story, bro. Not sure how it relates to the discussion at hand though. We're talking about Minecraft and Rocket League.. two immensely popular and established games. Furthermore we're talking about Xbox Live, the best network around.

If Phillyboy and Microsoft are so sincere about CrossPlay and content exclusivity, then why don't they provide the latest Minecraft patch to PS4? Yeah, right. XboxLive on Playstation. Freeloading on the success of others. It's a real shame Nintendo caved in.

They are as imcompentent as it gets, completely misjudged the market and failed miserably with their multimedia box, and now wanna take a more familiar, easier route. Creeping with their (bought) software into hardware that isn't theirs.

It's not "XBL on Playstation". You simply log into a Microsoft account, because you're playing a Microsoft game. Same as many other publishers. You ignore Rocket League, which does not require an XBL sign in. The rest of that just seems like petty issues you have with MS on a pretty personal level and frankly I don't care where on the doll MS touched you.
