I think it sorta is worthless in itself if you don't have a 4K TV. I get that TV prices aren't steep and you can get a decent 4K for as low as $1000, but after add ons and games I'm looking at a nearly $2000 price tag bare minimum. I own the OG model minus Kinect, and even I can say I have no interest buying Xbox One X. You're ultimately fine just buying the S for half the cost. I would consider the X a decent value, but when you have a fair alternative for a WAY lower price, I don't consider it a great value. If I have to spend $2000 to get the BEST console experience to date, I'll just get a high end PC. I don't see the value in it.
