Watch dogs just seems more like a GTA clone which doesn't play as well. I was impressed with it technically but couldn't really get into it. Yes it has a few new gameplay ideas but overall its not a particularly satisfying game. It feels like a game more about an idea than playability when it was first developed. I only judge games by the game and not the publisher and Ubisoft have been all over the place for me. I can't think of a ubisoft game I payed full price for in recent times most have been heavily discounted before I gave them a chance. I felt the Zombi U game on wii u needed more fine tuning to improve the gameplay. It felt a bit raw. Still liked it and great atmosphere but it didn't seem like it had been properly playtested before launch. It dropped in price so quickly on wii u that I assume sales were quite bad. I'd only had the wii u five minutes before it was sub £20 in the uk it seems which is when I bought it.
Started playing classic Far Cry on ps3 recently and was surprised how badly they had done the graphics and intro sequence on it so I guess I'm a bit pee'ved with their effort. It looks like a direct port of low quality pc assets from the original game with even the original xbox version looking and playing much better. Looked like an afternoon spent by a junior programmer.
