Well, most people have no knowledge of economy (although I know people that know economy that will defend piracy isn't a crime because when you do it you won't take an asset or property of the other party since you are only copying).

Sure... buying a PC that comes with pre-installed windows that you bought because of work or gaming will net MS income on every game you bought.

No one said that.

Anything that promotes the use of the Windows ecosystem, including playing games on Steam via Windows, ultimately promotes income for Microsoft.

Put it this way, buying a game on Steam brings a bigger benefit to MS than Sony or Nintendo
