For reference, the original Deus Ex had a 600-pages script, aproximatedly. The amount of pages in a script isn't very telling of the game or the story itself. It's just that either it'll have a lot of contextual action or dialogue, or both.

While all the script can be revoked or changed at any point, I'd assume those 2000 pages will make it into the game. Bear in mind that the script tends to detail everything, so there are things in those pages that are contextual (like enviroment descriptions) or things that add to the game but isn't the story itself (like lore, or weapon/item descriptions).
