Nintendo's biggest issue is the business side. It begins and ends with business. Even if Switch were as powerful as XBOX One X, until they can show third-party developers that their business models have become more friendly towards them, the games are not going to show up.
However, they seem to have no issue with their handheld business and that is the strength of both Switch and third-party relations as far as Switch is concerned. The future for Switch actually looks decent since the games Switch does get - a large percentage anyway - are exclusive and like 3DS, that will give gamers enough of a reason to own one alongside their PS4/XBOX One/PC.
