Ultimately, this milestone is very very very good for MS.

Regardless of the fact many want to think that it's of little importance, to JRPG fans and 360, it's very important, as it means that MS's Japanese push for games is working, and translating into considerable sales.

Looking at the chart(s), lets look at these few things:

#1. The Xbox 360 has already outsold the lifetime software sales of the first Xbox by about 50,000 and is increasing very rapidly.

#2. Like the Xbox vs. 360 launch in the US, the sales of the X360 in Japan and US was far less than the first Xbox. The 360 launched with sales of ~93,000 units in the first 5 weeks. The Xbox had sales of ~183,000 in the same timespan. So the Xbox started with double the sales in the launch timeframe.

#3. The 360 week over week is absolutely destroying Xbox's sales in a similar timeframe. By June, the Xbox was selling 800 units a week without any major titles coming out, during it's second June. For the 360, it's selling ~2400 units. 3x the units.

#4. The Xbox was DOA within about 12 months from launch, and never, ever, had anything to remotely help it out. The 360 has never really dropped in sales, and it's trend has been improving. With tons more J-Centric titles on the slate such as Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery, Ace Combat 6, Last Remenant, Devil May Cray 4, Gundam Mousou, and Resident Evil 5 all slated for this year, or early next year (I think RE5 is early next year), this bodes very very well for the market, as the 360 will continue to increase YOY.

Still, it's sales are nothing ultra impressive, but the fact is that the 360 will easily double, and I think it can't wind up with 1.75~2.5m units before the nextbox launches.

Now, for the PS3>360 comment. Lets look at facts here. The PS2 was the most succuessful console ever launched, whereas the Xbox was by far, the worst disaster in Japan's history. Now, for the 360 to be within a 2:1 ratio isn't a disaster for the 360, it's a disaster for the PS3.

simple put i totally agree with u!!!!!
