Don't take offense so fast without reading the rest of the post. I said there's nothing wrong with that [hardware predictability] because it works and people naturally like predictability. You know what to expect, that's comfortable and I get that. But to me, I always crave new experiences in hardware which is why I also have affinity for Nintendo.

I don't think that first party line-up puts Sony's to shame at all - quite the reverse, IMO. Plus, I always like getting new IPs, even if they don't always work. But I like your challenge - name a 1st party with that many IPs:

I'm sure I can think of a dozen more. And notice how they're not different games with the same character.

Didn't even hit the 20 I mentioned off the top of my head...and you can't change the goal post. They each are different series, each different with a different set of fans just like the games you've listed. Doesn't matter how many have the same cast, they're different series. I could also list a ton more...as Nintendo has been around the block longer than Sony but I get your point. But it's not like these games don't have rehashes either... but if you need more assurance...

Wario Ware, Chibi Robo, Wario Land Punch Out, Fire Emblem, Pilot Wings, Wii Series, Golden Sun, Wave Race, Earthbound, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Mo Series, Starfy, Mario Golf, Tennis, Sports in general, Luigi's Mansion, Picross, Rhythm Heaven, Star Fox, Tomodachi, Wars Series, Brain Age, 1080 and that's all from my head. Tons of offshoots, 1 offs, etc as well. Just as wisdom comes with age, most game libraries increase with age. It really isn't a contest worth trying to win at this point. But again, I digress, this is a Sony forum, I've said my 2 cents on what I think about the PS5 and how the hardware will be predictable, software really shouldn't have come into the fray, I will stop before I get banned.
