Nope, Sony hasn't deviated from its philosophy yet, they're going to keep doing them because well...it works almost every time. I'm the type of person who loves to see new things so Nintendo doing what they're doing, it keeps the industry fresh. I can't imagine an industry where the only innovations are more specs, talk about boring. I love PS for the constant good games but Nintendo breaks up the monotony for me which is why I'm generally a fan of both.
That being said I fully expect Sony to copy the Nintendo Switch within the next 2 years. They'll 1up the Switch and still manage to sell below it.
