You don't get it. It's not about not being on a Nintendo platform. It's about Capcom's own interest. MH sells MUCH better on handheld devices, and as such, a Switch version, especially after seeing how much of a wanted device it is.

Back when MH3 jumped ship to Wii and 3DS, there were sound reasons to do so. Market share. Money. Basically it is what has kept Capcom afloat for the past years. When they see sales struggle to reach 1m in Japan, they'll come back begging to Nintendo (maybe that's the reason they named it MHW instead of MH5, so they could backtrack if things go bad - also the reason Ninty claims Switch is a console; should it fail, they could just introduce a 3DS successor and say JUST KIDDING).

Suuuuuuuure....

So all these Nintendo fans care so much about capcom?  Is that why lots of them are hoping this bombs just because Switch didnt get it?

Tell me this.  If you cared so much about capcom why weren't all these Nintendo fans hoping capcom would release the 3DS exclusive MH on psp and Vita.  Because that would be a cheap port that would have sold very well and been very profitable.

I would love that idea. More people playing my favorite series is never a bad thing. Hell, they could even cross-play it, and become gigantic. It would not subtract one bit from my experience with the game...

I personally hope Capcom really takes a hit from World, so that they might start to see things through a bit. MH sells on handhelds; this is almost a fact, backed by solid sales evidence. Not releasing a huge MH game on Switch is just bad business.

Another example: Nintendo fans love RE and all have got since the GC days are crappy spin-offs and ports. A RE7 port would surely sell millions. They just seem to randomly ignore financially sound stuff.

PS: On why I don't speak up about Sony not getting games from Capcom. They get an abundance of them, even if they lack MH. Meanwhile, Nintendo gets SF2 and gets the shaft on its only strong franchice from Capcom, MH. Kick in the nuts.
