Yes, I think Sony paid for it maybe a Marketing deal in the west. Its actually a win win for Capcom. They got their money but they can still create a MonHun for portable. MHXX for switch is one prime example of it. Do you think Capcom is stupid to just ignore the fans in Japan? It could be exclusive to Switch or a multi-plat with PS4. MHW is the test here.
It's kinda sad that some people here want it to bombed. It can actually sell good in Japan it is still a Mon Hun. Could sell 1 million in Japan. I also think it will sell well in Asian markets. Asian markets are slowly growing and Playstation is very popular brand here.

You think SONY paid for a game to come to PS4 along with xbox one AND PC? IF they paid for it - why is it coming both TWO different platforms?
And why didn't Nintendo pay for it to be "Exclusive". Why didn't Microsoft pay to have it exclusive?
If all it takes is money, Sony would be well behind both Nintendo AND Xbox.

According to the rumors. Sony paid for the game to NOT release on the Nintendo Switch and that it's PS4-exclusive in Japan. These rumours are several months older than the MHW announcment.
