To OP, everything sounds awesome (except for the lack of underwater combat) still im even more hyped now, cant believe im finally getting a console "main title" Monster Hunter game, ive been waiting for this since i read about MH on a magazine before the original PS2 game came out (which i never got to play because third world country + no Amazon = F#CKED).
