Likely only Japanese but I could be wrong on this since I don't play those games. From what I seen and heard they don't seem to be story or text heavy. They are much more invested in the gameplay. The stats and stuff I think has colors and symbols. Though this is something you should probably ask a vet of the series as I could be misinformed on this. If it does happen to be the case that you can deal without the text and fully enjoy the game, and it doesn't come to the west. This is pretty much you only option to play the game on the Switch unfortunately.

Well I'm fortunate in that I purchased MH before and hated it (3 on the Wii U and the demo for 4 on 3ds), so it isn't a problem for me lol.

I played the Wii U demo and that game wasn't for me. I was done with it within the hour. I found it boring and repetitive (the combat was so bad) and while I love my good graphics, I'm not an extreme graphic whore.... but good god. Until Monster Hunter World was revealed those games always looked a gen or two behind when they come out. The Wii U Monster Hunter looked like it could run on the Game Cube and original Xbox. I have it in my mind of a certain level of quality that I expect from Capcom over most developers/publishers. You can probably guess I'm not super impressed with Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite right now either.
