Thats Bullsh*t lol.
Its because they are the lead platform, and they know friends buy consoles to play with other friends.
If most people are getting a PS4.... not supporting crossplay, is incentive for others that get a new system to also get a PS4.
Real reason? it's better (for them) if they dont, they sell more PS4s that way.
