For the same reason the announcer said "EXCLUSIVE" instead of  "LAUNCH EXCLUSIVE". Confuse, and confound. 

The majority of those were obvious multi-plats from the beginning.  Stuff like player unknown was obvious to anyone that knows it is in early access.

It's a funny tactic, confuse people and make them not know which games are exclusives and which aren't.
