I feel like the titles being MHXX and MHW are because Capcom is checking to see where MH5 should go. 

 

Should it continue with PS2-level graphics and an emphasis are increasingly complex game mechanics no one asked for?

Or should it go home to the consoles it started on to finally put on its big boy graphics and start taking itself seriously?

It can do both but I'm delighted MH has finally entered modern times.

The trailer looked amazing to me, I was a huge MH Tri fan. What is this discussion about it being casualized about? Where do you guys get that the game has dumbed down combat and regenerating health? Impossible to extract that from the trailer...

Add hunting elements to a hunting game,  take the resolution from 240p to 4k, make it proper open world and improve the online.  

 

All sounds dumbed down to me. This will be the new meme!
