This was my main concern when it was announced, they are the base of Kratos fighting style.
But I'm liking it with the magic handaxe, it's not as fast as it once was but it's likely making fighting more organic and focused.
Honestly Kratos other weapons were mostly always good as well, the chains are more iconic, but it has been fun fighting with Kratos without them in the greek games as well.

But what if he drops the axe? It's not like it's chained to his arm. Not sure if I'm ready to take that risk.
