Honestly, I am not goint to argue in circles. You are the outlier here. Most real Monster Hunter fans who have actually invested their time and energy into the series are with me on this. There are thousands of comments saying the same things I am.

Yeah, no, these aren't real MH fans, they're people who have invested in Nintendo for Monster Hunter and are rightfully upset that it's moving away from it again. The same thing happened when it moved from PSP to 3DS, but I wouldn't expect someone who's not a real fan to know that.

I am not going to argue with somebody who attempts to mind-read, even after I explained what my point was, that never goes anywhere.

Don't get mad just because I proved you wrong with a single picture. Just say "Oh, haha, yeah." That's all it takes.

A year from now, when the game sells less than half what a main series Monster Hunter game does, you will know why, because fans of Monster Hunter don't want open-world Action-game #1000 (w Monster Hunter skin.)

And what are you going to do if it's actually a wild success? They kind of put a lot of emphasis on it, and there is a rather large fanbase of fans who have been waiting for MH to return to PlayStation.

Monster Hunter Tri's problem wasn't its atmosphere, it was its lack of content. Almost everyone was hyped for the game before it released. The only people who are hyped for this game are people who aren't fans of the series for the sole reason of graphics.

Monster Hunter Tri had quite a number of problems. It's almost like you didn't even play it.

I've been quite vocal on this forum about how I think the Monster Hunter series has stagnated, but the solution isn't to change the game into something it is not to appeal to Western audiences.

"The series is stagnating. Don't change it."

Someone hire this guy on at Capcom. He's going places.

All of them? Because Neogaf is a bastion of Nintendo fans, right? Please. Most people commented nothing about the console, and likely first started playing the series on PSP, like me.

"Don't get mad just because I proved you wrong with a single picture. Just say "Oh, haha, yeah." That's all it takes."

You're the one who didn't address my point. Instead you deflected by pretending you think you knew my point, rather than admit that it went over your head.

"And what are you going to do if it's actually a wild success? They kind of put a lot of emphasis on it, and there is a rather large fanbase of fans who have been waiting for MH to return to PlayStation"

Do you think this game will go over well in Japan (where the bulk of Monster Hunter's sales come from?) If it succeeds and is a genuinely good game, all the better. I don't think it is likely from what we've seen and know so far, as well as knowing what previous console Monster Hunter titles have sold. We can make a bet if you want.

"Monster Hunter Tri had quite a number of problems. It's almost like you didn't even play it."

Mhmn, name them, and give me specifics. Like I said, it was mostly the content (fewer weapons and monsters) besides the portability, which made the Wii version less appealing than others for many people.

Hope that is enough evidence that I played the game.
