Also what difference does it make on Steam or Windows Shop? They all play the same haha

No one likes or trusts Microsoft after all they've done to PC gaming, and everyone wants Steam to be their central online service. That's where everyone's friends, achievements, and other games are.

it's where the majority of my library is. We've already got pubs on the market trying to split up people from their central library towards 7 clients, so we're close to 10 clients, which imo isn't good because it's better for them to split people up and hold games to each of those clients to rake in more cash than to allow for simplicity for the consumer and having a more unified library.

MS won't take pages from Steam's book because it would mean admitting that their approach isn't best for PC gamers. having an actual modding community on Steam is very beneficial and important. No other client out there currently supports a modding community or mod workshop. I imagine GoG will eventually catch up, but I cannot see the other publisehrs wanting to willingly support PC game modding after all the years of their horrid DRM practices and anti stances they've had before.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
