When you say "of the lot,"  I take it you mean their previous E3 conferences and not the other Big 2.  I agree it had a much better flow to it than the past ones.  But, the content that was shown was definitely not of the caliber of the past ones.  I mean, many the titles they showed were timed exclusive indies or multiplats.  And while they looked good, that's not going to get people to buy your system.  Especially when those indies will also be 4K on the Pro and the AAA multiplats will look 90%-95% the same on the Pro.  And boy, did Crackdown take a hit on the visuals.

That's because it was sunny out, no cloud to help it run.

Ok yup, I will see myself out.

Don't go.  That was funny.

Except all of those games are also available on the XBO S.  And they are having a sale on that with quite a few models marked down to $249.  That should lead to a resurgence of sales, not the same or less.  Also, the $499 price is a turn off the mass consumer.  So, a $249 XBO S that plays the same games would be more appealing.

I know! What I am saying is that marketing your mid-gen refresh as a next-gen console made the base XBox One look indesirable to most consumers, unlike Sony's softer marketing push for the Pro, which hasn't lead to a fall in sales for the base PS4.

Ok, gotcha.  No need to shout.

I can understand why they did that, though.  They already got caught with their pants down at launch, when Sony suddenly announced the PS4 in Feb.  Then, they had to hurry up and respond, while also adding features, like game DVR to match the PS4.  This time they weren't exactly ready for mid-gen refreshes, so had to hurry up and get out their own.  So, while Sony was enjoying 20% of PS4 sales being Pros, MS had to keep shouting from the hills about Scorpio so they weren't left out of the picture for a whole year.

It probably wouldn't have been so bad if MS wasn't spending less on Xbox and they could have gotten some 3rd party advertising deals.  Instead, all the big AAA games have been tied to PS4.

Microsoft does little for the Xbox brand, especially their newly introduced hardware. It's painful to watch.

They show excruciating long footage of Sea Of Thieves and State of Decay 2, both small games, both scheduled for 2018, both well demonstrated. However, Crackdown 3, coming this year November, all they have is a two and half minute trailer. A game that would be a good showcase for a new box that is to be launched at the exact same date.

Honestly, I think MS may be trying to hide that the game isn't going to be as big as they originally pitched it.  I mean, going by that trailer, the visuals have taken a hit (even in 4K that's not going to look that great) and it didn't really look that large in scope.
