Has Microsoft given up? do they have any fight left in them?

Microsoft as a whole? I don't think they'll give up anytime soon, not as long as Windows is as big for gaming as it is today. The future of Xbox might be uncertain though but it's still a powerful brand so it wouldn't make any sense to just put it under the axe. Even if MS stops making their own consoles they'd probably keep the Xbox brand.
