i haven't read any of darths posts, i can make my own opinions

I've no doubt that you can. But saying that the third Banjo Kazooie, a game from the original team who are trying to do something innovative (that can't have been easy to sell with Microsoft breathing down their necks) is in fact NOT the real Banjo 3 reeks of cynicism.

it most likely sounded worse than the tone i was trying to set.. but BK3 was a 360 seller for me (complimented by fable 2), and the trailer completely deminished that, but i'm definitely still interested in it... but i just wouldn't even consider buying the 360 for it anymore.. if you'll notice my edit, the thing i liked about BK over other platformers was that the characters themselves possessed so many unique abilities.. its feels like, they've put in vehicles and guns to please the 360 owners and replaced them with (most likely) the just as useful abilities from the original game..

That said.. i'm basing everything on what we know so far (i've read several previews too), if it turns out there is more under the shell than what we've seen, ie. being able to completely ignore the vehicle aspect and get actual abilities for the characters. haha , or something a little more realistic, then i might spring right back into wanting a 360 for it

You may even be right, maybe i am being cynical because of the fact they could have given any old characters the ability to make vehicles and ride them in special ways, while only banjo and kazooie could do their own thing that made them banjo and kazooie (and to repeat myself, the reason i liked the franchise) ..

I disagree. Banjo Kazooie introduced lots of great moves and worlds to explore. Banjo Twooie added more new moves, and a true overworld with minigames/FPS segments ect to keep the game fresh. What else could BK3 add? New moves? BK2 already had grenade/time bomb/homing/freezing/fire eggs, and Banjo and Kazooie splitting up, and minigames ect. So BK3 would either have to be a BK1 of BK2 HD rehash (I would have like a BK1 HD rehash very much)

I think Rare wanted to move the series forward, and the only way to do that would be to add something new. With user created content coming into prominence, I suspect that Rare thought that adding a few user created vehicles would spice up the gameplay. Players could platform in huge worlds and use vehicles every so often. Then they realized how well it worked and made most of the game vehicle based. At least that What I am hoping.

BK3 has the potential to be the finest game Rare has ever created. The graphics are certainly there, and based on “Banjo Land” and “Mumbo’s nuts” I would hazard to guess that the creativity and humor that made the first two Banjo’s so great also remain. The question now is: will all the pieces come together to make a fabulous whole? If even one aspect of the game is bad, the whole thing will fall apart for me unfortunately. (botched platforming in showdown town= L , bad vehicle making interface would make the game terrible, ect) But I am hopeful
