Really? I only check prices every now and then, and they seem to either remain stable or raise, but not drop.

From my memory, I think it is mostly caused by fabs trying to produce / setup 3D NAND workflows that is congesting the supply chain.
Increased demand for the product only compounds the issue.

There's always something that prevents prices from falling down... f*ck it!

I'm currently trying to finalize one of my builds for a new rig. I've got one for Intel and one for an AMD Ryzen build so far.

Current rig: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/tTzshq

Intel build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/f8LGzM

AMD Ryzen build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/MjrZ3F

I'm still in the middle of deciding whether to go for 1080p 144hz, so I can max the majority of my games and still have good performance, or go 1440p and get decent performance while also sacrificing some settings.

Ryzen chips can be a bottleneck at 1080p, even with a 4.0GHz overclock. Therefore, if you're going for a 1080p@144Hz screen, then with for Intel.

Having said that, with that 1080Ti you've listed, you could go with a high refresh 1440p monitor without problems.
