Even though I have no interest in the Microsoft games ecosystem, i find 500$ a fair price for a new console that has a decent power. Hopefully it will sell well and signal all console makers that it's ok to go 500$ and up as long as the hardware justifies it.
Having said that, probably a lot of nay sayers will latch on to the 500$ figure and paint it like the worst thing ever.
But hey... we'll know for sure in a couple of hours
