I think salary caps can be circumvented if players agree to earning less. Tim Duncan is one example of this happening:

I imagine Kawhi and James and Irving can join the Warriors if everyone in the Warriors agrees to taking cuts.

No, I'm just disappointed. I love basketball and the amazing 7-game series that can take place at times and I once had great respect for Durant.

Not so much anymore as he chases a ring the easy way.

Of course players can take less money but good luck getting these guys together with smaller paychecks, lol. The salary cap is too small for that. The Warriors have done an amazing job over the years developing/acquiring players around their playstyle without having to just buy their way to a championship.

It can't be that hard considering every NBA player is desperate for a ring. You said it yourself.

Every NBA player is desperate for a ring, it's every NBA players dream lol, what do you think is the biggest prize in the NBA? Loyalty to a capitalistic organization? Someone fooled you.

Look at yesterdays game, proof the Warriors - no matter how great they technically are - can still be contested. They lost comfortably. The difference in this series and all throughout the playoffs is that GSW's are consistent. People make it seem like the Warriors are automated to win the championship. Basketball success is analog. KD is still sweating and running and throwing down 3's with less than a minute to go to win games. It is not easy to win championships.
Yes, Durant's teammates makes championships come easier than they did in OKC. If Durant's "disloyalty" leaves a bitter taste, fair enough. But ever since he played in Texas he has been a singular talent at 7'4" who can do anything with a basketball. He's avoided any trouble and conducted himself with class. No player is more deserving of an NBA title. Loyalty to truth matters, too.

I would have preferred Durant going to the Spurs or Rockets. It would seem less like a move out of desperation.

Now if somehow, some way, the Cavs manage to win this series, I'll forgive Durant. 'til then, I need to see him struggle and lose games with these Warriors before I'm happy seeing him win.

Lebron had to struggle before he could get a ring with the Heat. I want to see Durant do the same.

You are disappointed? These finals have the highest average viewership (20 million viewers per game) since the '98 bulls when Jordan won his last title. People keep tuning in apparently, I guess they like being disappointed.

Yeah, I'm disappointed. I get that others aren't and hey, good for them.

As for me, I'll go watch something else.
