Why would a news network allow that? It could easily damage their reputation.

They don't consider gaming news "real" news, that's why.  Gaming still gets little to no respect in mainstream news media.

And there are a couple of quality writers amongst their contributors.  The problem is no regulation or quality control so there's 5 clueless clickbaiters for every good writer.
