they were also a much larger jump for their time over the Previous gen. PS3 lasted so long because they made it a complete beast out of the gate, they paid for it early with slow adoption early one, but reaped the rewards long term by the sheer longevity it gave them. PS4 Pro is Sony's attempt to extend the PS4 to 7 - 8 years, had they not released the pro PS5 could have been a 2019 launch, with pro it gets them to 2020-21.

Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
