I don't think it was 2015. It may have been 2014 or 2016. Point is, people got excited that they would have a lot of announcements and after the show was over, they said, "wait, that's it? Couldn't they have saved the other announcements for E3?". If I could find the threads, I'd post a link but searching for them is a huge pain in the ass.

No E3 2015 was when we got pre e3 announcements with Uncharted Nathan Drake COllection and Tales of Zestria for PS4. And at that E3, was a shit ton of games, TLG, Horizon, Dreams, World of Final Fantasy, FF7 Remake, Shenmue 3, Heavy Rain/Beyond Two Souls collection, and Nier Automata. E3 2014 we got 0 pre E3 announcements with E3 announcements being LBP 3, Bloodborne, and Ratchet and Clank.
