Let me see if I can quell your fears.

Since Kimishima has become president, Nintendo's presentations have been more focused. The Nintendo Directs use to have silly skits in them, but now its almost 100% news. The Switch Presentation was the same save for the ice cube thing. At E3 2016, Nintendo had the developers there for the Treehouse, so they wouldn't have a lot of Developer Stories like in 14 and 15.

Now, Nintendo has indicated that the presentation will focus on 2017 (which is likely why its only 30 minutes). There are only 4 games coming out in 2017 that would be shown off that we know about: Mario, Xenoblade, FE Warriors and Rabbids (some speculate that it will be at Ubisoft's press conference, but I wouldn't bet on that). In 2014, even with developer stories, the four games releasing that year only took up about 15 minutes. Nintendo, on average, releases 8 first party games (Nintendo, IS, Retro NDCude and Monolith). Nintendo has shown off/released 6 (7 if you count Mario Kart). So we can expect there to be another game or two releasing this year. If we expect there will be two trailers and some discussion about the game, that would be 7-10 minutes. This leaves enough time to tease one or two games for Winter 2018 (which I expect they'll do).

Nintendo wont have the most exciting conference in terms of announcements. Sony will likely have more. The difference is all of the games coming from Nintendo will be playable in the next 12 months.

Oh I'm just exaggerating for drama, sorry to make you write all that, but it's a good read for anyone! All Nintendo has to do is reveal Animal Crossing and I'm happy regardless of whatever else they have to show hehe. I'm very confident that will happen given the mobile game and how we're way past overdue for new AC game. There's no way in hell they're gonna let one of their best selling series sit on the backburner!
