Sony's marketing is all about been more powerfull and all that shit, watch them rush the released of PS5 just to get that slogan of "the more powerfull console in the world".

Sony has not always marketed their console as the strongest in terms of hardware. The PS1 was weaker and inferior in some ways to the N64 and both the Gamecube and original xbox were both stronger than the PS2. You are also missing the context of Sony's hardware superiority concerning the PS4. When PS4 released alongside the XBOX 1, on top of being superior in terms of technical specs it was ALSO $100 cheaper, had better and more exclusives and was shown as the place for indie developers to be and flourish, then add to that the way Microsoft handled the XBOX 1 launch by originally restricting trading and not allowing you to re-sell your games and there you have it. 

 

So Sony did not only win off of power, i mean sure, lets say that was the only reason most people bought one over the xbox then it would stand to reason that as soon as the XBOX becomes the most powerful machine, we should all migrate to it. But as i just pointed out, Sony touting its superior hardware was merely a variable in a much larger reason as to why Sony is where its at currently in terms of PS4 bs XBOX 1 sales.

 

As for exclusives, yes Microsoft has them but it is generally understood or felt that the Sony exclusives are in fact better. The aggregate score of Sony's top 10 exlusives is quite higher then Microsofts not to mention the sheer volume of exclusives Sony has. In fact, for every Xbox 1 exclusive you name ill name 2 PS4 exclusives.

 

Im merely saying all this to show that PS4 didnt really win the console war cause of power and that yes, everyone has exclusives but there should be something said about the quantity and quality of one consoles over the other and this gen it happens to be Sony while last gen it was most def xbox 360.

Yes, and i'm not talking abouth the PS1 or PS2 era, i'm talking comunity here on vgc, since the "POWER OF THE CELL" and the "8GB GDDR5 Ram" that's what i'm pointing here, sony's marketing since PS3 has been all about been more powerfull than the competition, get a look at the 2013-14-15-16 sony fan base posts here on vgc, denied it is hypocrisy simple as that.
