1)  HTC Vive headset is currently 499$.

2) Leaks about E3 reveal of the scorpio, are saying its 449$ (for 1TB) and 499$ (for 2TB version).

3) that combo price your makeing up sounds silly low.

 

Theres already more than 1 million units of PSVR out there, and its probably the cheapest and best bang-4-buck you can get.

MS is NOT going that route Id suspect.

To go with a premium console (thats 449-499$), they would most likely also go with a premium VR headset.

Actually they are... They are targeting a low price on their headsets (with partners) and being able to use on both Scorpio and PC for multiple applications and games. Their headsets are going to be starting at 299$ and will include the Microsoft Hololens tracking technology (which is amazing if you never tried it...) so it will be even cheaper than PSVR and work on 2 platforms. For me it is kinda the same route.
