Dude has a point, when u see a sim racer like GT on PS1 and PS2, they're ancient, why would u play this? But many other games with better art styles, like FFIX or XII do still hold up and he would rethink his words if he saw them.
BC is something that was needed going from SD to HD TVs around 2006, but since PS3 is also HD, BC is unneeded with PS4. My PS3 is still hooked up, that console was getting major games until recently.
PS5 will likely have PS4 BC due to the architecture they'll go with from now on, it'll probably have something like a "boost mode" that bruteforces BC, but something that's not guaranteed to work 100%.
