I don't really know, I just do.  I get why you don't want people saying the type of love you practice is gross, but does it ultimately matter if they're not preventing you from doing it?

Technically no, but that mindset does cause people to want to prevent it or feel they have a right to say something or think less of me (I've seen threads from gay guys talk about how so many people come up to them when they do some form of harmless pda that would never happen to straight people). That mindset also causes people to think of gay people differently in life instead of seeing it as just another aspect of life. 

I just want the same rights and respect for doing what straight people do, no more and no less.
