For me it would take a native 4K60 4:4:4 10 bit HDR capable projector to come out with HDMI 2.1 for max $3000. (or CAD 4000) By the time that happens ps5 could already be out. I'll stick to 1080p until I can upgrade my projector to something that lasts another 10 years.
Or Scorpio to offer a few great VR exclusives, or the same VR games running at double the resolution as PSVR. I'll be keeping an eye out for those mixed reality headset reviews, yet so far they don't seem much of a contender besides offering more pixels.
Since any VR plans for Scorpio seem to be postponed to 2018, and the only HDR projector that meets my wishlist is $60k, buying Scorpio at launch is not going to happen. In the event of any great exclusive I'll want to play I can always pick up an XBone S, yet even that seems unlikely at this point. I'm having too much fun in VR to buy another 2D console :)
