Minimum wage is another issue. Paying someone $15 per hour for unskilled labor is not the answer. Fast food jobs are not careers, they are for high school kids learning to work. The difference here is employers are taking advantage of the fact that to outsiders, $9 per hour is a fortune and they don’t have to pay benefits to illegal or work visa employees. They are saving on both fronts. An American employee who is willing to work full time at $9 per hour is forced to have insurance and now the employer is forced to provide it and pay a portion of it thanks to the idiotic Democrats. Maybe employers and employees would have it better if we stop trying to mandate benefits coverage. Benefits used to be a perk offered by employers to entice talent, now it is a burden they try and avoid at all costs.
