Just go for the PS2. It doesn't sound like you're dead-set on HD gaming, it doesn't sound like you're interested in the Western-style games that the 360 has to offer, and the PS3 only has a handful of interesting exclusives at the moment, so you're better off saving your money.
"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
