Those are good sales numbers. The game got good reviews, and has a history of previous Nier games, though not that good. And it's made by Platinum.
Yet it's still a niche game in my opinion. It's a third person action game yes, but the setting and theme is more a japanese pleaser, than a western-pleasing setting, if that makes sense.
But sales of 1,5 million, based on a PS4 installbase of 60+ million, is just 2,5% of the install base. So in this sense the sales numbers are relatively low?
